Some Changes

Well we have been busy updating the website and the blog.  It is all taking some time, not least as the website was nearly finished when the computer it was saved on had Office reinstalled and it was lost.  So this week we have started again!

I've wanted to track the dogs show records on the website, and couldn't find an easy solution that was straightforward to update.  After looking at a few options we have made the decision to add pages to the blog for each dogs results. Some of you may well have noticed the addition of the pages and slowly each dog is having their show record entered.  Currently they have been completed for Trio, Eve and Tilly - just Maddie's to do now.

It has been lovely recounting these memories, first shows for each of them, returns to the show ring, notable wins etc.  This hasn't been the chore that I had expected and am relishing completing Maddie's, who is responsible for so much that we now do.

Also having a great time looking through photographs for the website, such lovely memories.

Happy Easter

Wishing you all a Happy Easter from us all here at Seahaven, hope you all enjoy the break and time with you family - dogs included!

The weather here has been rather varied, sun, wind, rain and cold and this can be in just one day!  We have been enjoying it regardless and the dogs don't seem too bothered whatever the weather.

We are enjoying a few quiet weeks, and hoping to get on top of some of the garden jobs if the weather stays fair.  A casualty of the wind has been the field shelter been blown off its platform, and this being the second time that this has happened means that it's time to find it a new home for it.  The ground has dried out enough for the agility equipment to come out of winter storage and has been put to good use with the children being off school and the lighter evenings.

Eve managed to cut her stopper pad this week, so we've made use of the beach to keep it clean.  It's been a bit of a shock to have to share it though, lots of visitors around at the moment.

Such a lovely relationship between these two!

Seahaven Mingles

Rookie has been such a lucky boy lately!

First of all, over Crufts we stayed up near Carol with the lovely Libby (Seahaven's Olympic Vindicat). On the Friday we enjoyed such a beautiful walk in Westonbirt Arboretum. Bushes to sniff, dogs to play with, puddles deep enough to swim in- what's not to love?

THEN...... Rookie's sister Megane came down to Cornwall for a holiday, so her mum and dad brought her up to Rookie's moor and he showed her around.

NSDTR Club Championship Show

Well, the Toller club champ show was a huge success this year!!! It was a lovely venue, a sunny day and some rosettes to take home :)

L-R Eve, Milly, Cooper & Tegan - all Seahavens

First in the ring out of our lot was Cooper (Seahaven Galactic Storm) with Dawn. Although they didn't win anything, Dawn handled really well and Cooper looked gorgeous. During the lunch break was the Junior Handling. There were 4 entries in the 12-16 age group and Tasha had 1st (handling Cooper) with Eleanor coming in 3rd (handling Eve).

After the lunch break were the bitch classes. Eve (Seahaven Parish Bell) went really well and won the graduate-bitch class. Then was post graduate-bitch, both Eve and Milly (Seahaven Red Andromeda) were entered in this and they both came out with rosettes (Eve had 1st and Milly had 3rd). The last class of the day for us was the special working bitch class. Eve was entered in this and out of strong competition, gained a second place to the dog that got Reserve best bitch. It was an enjoyable day and all of Seahaven did us proud!!!

Crufts 2015

Finally home and starting to get a bit more organised after Crufts this year.  After showing on the Thursday, we drove home and then travelled back on Friday finally arriving home in the early hours this morning.

Cooper - Seahaven Galactic Storm

The dogs did us proud as usual, and it was fabulous to catch up with the Seahaven's who we don't get to see too often.  The highlight though was Eleanor being shortlisted and then placed in the YKC 12 -16 handling, one of the youngest in this age category she really contended with the more experienced and older competitors.

Eve - Seahaven Parish Bell

Large Munsterlanders

Maddie - Paddockridge Madelaine at Seahaven - unplaced in Veteran, but she had a blast in the ring!
Trio - Seahaven Borrowed Heaven - VHC in a strong Limit class, then 3rd in GC.
Megane - Seahaven Celtic Cariad - Res in PGB
Uma - Seahaven Bouquet of Roses - sadly not placed in this big class, but so lovely to see her at Crufts.

Cooper - Seahaven Galactic Storm - 2nd in a large Limit class, and then 2nd in GCD
Eve - Seahaven Parish Bell - 1st in a strong PGB class, then 2nd in GCB
Bron - Seahaven Gloriana 3rd in PGB
Milly - Seahaven Red Andromeda VHC in Limit and then 3rd in GCB.

A fabulous Crufts again for team Seahaven, sadly a few missed dogs who couldn't attend who had qualified.

It was lovely to catch up with the Seahaven gang at Crufts. Looking forward to the Toller club show. Double dose of Tollers in one month, brilliant! Here's Mills chilling on her bench. x
