More Pics

Had a few more pics this week!

We had some lovely pics from Yoshi's family this week.  Yoshi is from our first toller litter (Tilly x Red) and he has really matured since we last saw some pics of him.

We've had a lovely half term week here, the weather has been great with the exception of today where it has poured down all day.  We've managed to get out on some lovely walks with the children and dogs and the dogs are looking fitter for it too.  The nights are starting to lengthen out which is an added bonus, and I'm sure is appreciated by most people.

We've begun our preparations for Crufts, but have Welsh Junior of the Year first, which is next weekend.  Trio and Eve have been trimmed in preparation, so only a quick tidy up for them prior to Crufts.  Maddie however requires the full works, it might be a bit of a marathon doing her I think.

Can't quite believe how quickly Crufts has come around, we received the passes and ring order for the YKC handling for Eleanor.  She is really nervous as she will be in the 12 - 16 yrs group, and I think the youngest in that category.

Rana (formerly Foxy)

Rana at almost 16 weeks and 9.5 kg despite being a fussy eater!  She's such an intelligent and very agile girl!
Oops don't know why I can't publish the photo??

And as if by magic - she appears!!

Updates :-)

It is lovely to have updates of the dogs that we have bred, either in the form of contributions to the blog, through Facebook or posted to us here.

The following two photos were sent in to us a few weeks ago, but so welcome!

The first is Pippa (Pippi) one of the Tilly (Dinaskarrek's Red Vixen to Seahaven) X Woody (Sh Ch Trevargh the Entertainer at Brizewood) puppies.  She has settled in well with looks very smart in her coat, I have a feeling it won't fit her soon.

The second was Jake a Large Munsterlander from out 2012 litter from Trio (Seahaven Borrowed Heaven) X Kauto (Sh Ch Raycris Quest for Fame).  He has been busy working this season and maturing nicely.  Brains and beauty, lovely boy and a credit to Roy's training.

KCGC Gold Award

On Saturday Trio (Seahaven Borrowed Heaven) achieved her Gold Good Citizen award, handled by Tasha.  This is the highest KCGC award to be gained, and by far the most difficult.  Three of the dogs (Trio, Maddie & Tilly) gained their Silver award some time ago and have been waiting for an opportunity to be assessed for the Gold.  With no possibilities on the horizon, few of the exercises have been practiced formally, and with only a few days notice it really showed what a great combination these two are.  There was only space for one handler, so it is a first for one of our dogs and handlers - we now have to do some catching up!

Also this weekend, I had attended a training event about the KC Rally competitions.  Having attended a few of the local training events I thought that it might be useful to have a better understanding of the rules and regs, particularly to assist the girls.  I arrived to what I thought would be an informal training session to find that it was an official KC seminar with an exam!!  Maybe it I'd known the facts I might not have turned up!!

Well it was a really useful weekend with the theory on Saturday, and more theory & practical on the Sunday.  In order to attend the Sunday (I hadn't intended on doing both days, but thought it was worthwhile as there are so few seminars in Wales) delegates had to pass the exam with 80% plus!

Well I'm delighted to say that I passes the theory (Requirements of a Rally Judge) and have a certificate of attendance for today (Sunday - Rally Practical Judging).

Flo Williams who ran the seminar was fabulous, and it was a fantastic weekend spent with likeminded people.  Funny that two people who also attended knew of friends in both breeds, so there was plenty to chat about.

Amber

We received this short video of Amber this week (previously known as Spell) from her owners.  Clearly a very clever girl and showing how quickly these pups learn at this age.  Well done to you both and thanks for the video.
